Areas of Work

Systems Group was established mainly to co-ordinate centrally all airworthiness activities involved in design, development, production updates and type approval, acceptance as well as major modifications of avionics, Air Armaments, EW systems, Missiles and other aeronautical equipments/ accessories at RCMA (Hyd) - Hyderabad,  RCMA (Lko) - Lucknow, RCMA (Kow) -  Korwa, RCMA (AA) - Pune, RCMA (Msl) - Hyderabad and EW & Radar group  together termed as RCMAs of Systems Group. It centrally coordinates all administrative, training and organizational activities of  RCMAs.

Systems group is also involved in coordination work with Service Headquarters, HAL, DGAQA, DRDO Headquarters, DRDO Labs etc., on activities by RCMAs.

Systems Group was actively involved in Airworthiness clearance and Certification of Systems like Mission computer and Radar Computer under the project name Vetrivale, Maritime Patrol Airborne Radar  SV2000 and Data Link II (42B) like any other RCMAs. Presently Systems Group is monitoring the major AEW&C programme for airworthiness clearance and certification activity.
